Parts of the province, including Dauphin, Minnedosa and Riding Mountain National Park woke up to a snowfall warning Saturday morning.

In Winnipeg, a rain/snow mix should end late Saturday afternoon and the city could see between two to four centimetres of snow.

According to Environment Canada, snow will begin falling late Saturday morning and continue into Sunday.

“A trough of low pressure over southeastern Saskatchewan will track across southern Manitoba, bringing snow. Generally, two to five centimetres is expected across much of southern Manitoba but areas to the west will likely see five to 10 centimetres by Saturday afternoon,” said a statement on the website. “By late afternoon total snowfall accumulations of 10 centimetres are possible over the warning area with amounts possibly reaching as high as 15 over the higher terrain of the Riding and Duck Mountains.”

The following areas should expect close to 10 centimetres of snow.
