Two men arrested following dramatic car chase in Langley

WATCH (above): RCMP thermal imaging footage of a dramatic car chase and arrest in Langley.

Langley RCMP have released a dramatic video of two men arrested in a stolen car after fleeing from police.

The incident began early this morning with a patrolling officer noticing a Honda Civic stopped on Walnut Grove Street in Langley with its doors wide open. The officer noticed one man standing beside the car and another man inside, attempting to steal the Civic. According to police, when the suspects spotted the mountie, they fled in the stolen vehicle.

With the help of the Air Two traffic helicopter, police were able to follow and videotape the two suspects as they sped towards Fort Langley. Using a thermal imaging camera the footage shows the car passing another vehicle on  Glover Road and almost smashing into another car head on. The Honda Civic then heads down a rural street and the two men run onto a farm, where they are eventually tracked down by a K-9 team.
