Snow? What snow?

April 9, 2014. After a high of 22 yesterday we woke up this morning to yet another dump of snow. At least for the most part it melted on the roads but you still had to brush the white stuff off of your vehicle. And it was very heavy. A person could tear a rotator cuff. The seemingly never-ending winter can play havoc with your sanity as I went into a Monty Python-esque bit with my alter ego: “It’s snowing out.” “No it’s not.” “Yes it is.” “No it’s not.” “Well if you’d look outside you would see that the bloody white precipitation is coming down right before your eyes. There’s no denying it.” “What, you think that white foam is snow?” “Well yes it is.” “No it’s not.”
And then I had a coffee.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Today on Scene & Heard we’re going to talk to the new franchise owner of the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy Stephanie Parrish. She has a vast theatre background and wanted to bring this concept to Lethbridge. There are franchises throughout Australia, England and the States and this is the very first one in Canada. She’s in the process of opening up her own facility near the Canada Service Centre. (Use to be The Brick-it’s always fun to drive around Lethbridge and see places that used to be other places. Especially if you’ve lived here a long time. Like Moxies used to be Kirk’s Tire Centre. I digress) We’ll also talk to vocal instructor Andra Ceron plus a student Jayde Beaulieu and her mom Juanita.

And I can’t imagine that it’ll snow again in April.
