SASKATOON – From Saskatoon to Sin City, Saskatchewan fashion designer Melissa Squire has been invited to a high-profile runway show in Las Vegas.

The 17th annual Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender takes place April 17 to 20 at the Orleans Casino with over 20,000 guests expected.

This isn’t the first time the North Battleford-born designer has been featured on the international stage.

In 2012, she participated in Brooklyn Fashion Week and last year she was invited to include items in the 2013 Oscars swag bags.

“My line is called Melissa Squire. It’s self-titled. This collection is called Vegas Vixens – it’s inspired by the glitz and glamour of old Vegas and Freemont street and all that kind of thing,” said Squire.

Squire owns Alchemy Clothing & Salon in Saskatoon.
