WATCH: Overboard sailor saved in dramatic rescue during yacht race

British sailor Andrew Taylor is lucky to be alive after falling overboard into the Pacific ocean during the Clipper Round the World yacht race.

A huge wave swept Taylor off the deck of the 70-foot yacht, Derry~Londonderry~Doire, and into the frigid ocean.

Taylor’s crew members searched for the missing sailor in rough seas for over an hour before spotting his yellow life jacket.

The 46-year-old was pulled aboard after several frantic attempts. Taylor spent 90 minutes in the water and was treated for shock and hypothermia.
