Quebec man charged after $157K of clothing stolen from home outside Toronto: Cops

OAKVILLE, Ont. – A Quebec man has been charged in connection with the theft of an estimated $157,000 worth of clothing from a home west of Toronto last year.

Halton region police say 45-year-old Costel Bustean was arrested during a traffic stop in Burlington on Wednesday.

Halton region police allege the suspect broke into an Oakville home through its roof on Dec. 30, and took the clothing.

Bustean is charged with break and enter committing theft, possession of break and enter instruments, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

He also faces two counts each of driving while disqualified and failing to comply with probation.
