Twin baby deaths on Saskatchewan reserve not suspicious

MEADOW Lake, Sask. – The sudden deaths of twin baby boys found on a Saskatchewan reserve has been determined non-suspicious by investigators.

On Dec. 9, 2013, RCMP responded to a 911 call advising there were seven-month-old brothers who were not breathing on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.

They were taken to a health centre and pronounced dead.

RCMP have completed the investigation and the cause of death was non-criminal in nature.

Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation is approximately 55 kilometres west of Meadow Lake.
