Scaffolding falls on taxi in downtown Toronto

TORONTO – Two sets of scaffolding have fallen from a building under construction at Richmond Street and Peter Street in downtown Toronto.

The scaffolding fell onto a cab travelling on Richmond Street Tuesday afternoon.

There were people in the taxi at the time but there are no injuries reported.

The streets are expected to be closed for several hours as police and construction crews investigate how the scaffolding came down.

The Ministry of Labour will also be investigating.
