KELOWNA– It’s a sophisticated, boutique hotel proposed for downtown Kelowna at the foot of Queensway Ave. on the old Willow Inn Hotel site.
Plans were on display for the public Wednesday evening as the developer, Westcorp, gathers feedback before presenting the final proposal to Kelowna city council.
People were able to view artist renderings, models, and a video of the site plan.
Representatives from Westcorp and the City of Kelowna were on hand to answer questions and take suggestions.
According to Westcorp, some earlier concerns regarding parking, public access, green space, and conformity have already been addressed.
Most people who attended the open house seemed impressed with the design plans.
This is likely the only public hearing on the development that will be held before the plans are put before city council for consideration.
That is still three to four months away.
