WINNIPEG – A water main break closed McPhillips Street between Logan Avenue and Jarvis Avenue on Monday morning.
The break flooded the underpass below the Canadian Pacific Railway lines before 5 a.m.
Winnipeg Transit placed Routes 30, 33, 34, 35, 36 and 71 under a detour.
Crews were at the scene but drivers were encouraged to avoid the area.
The underpass reopened before noon Monday.
A water main break also reduced westbound Inkster Boulevard to one lane at Paramount Road (just east of Keewatin Street) at 6:30 a.m., and there was another break at Main Street and Jarvis Avenue, but nothing impeding traffic at 7 a.m.
