A close call for Calgary firefighters trying to stop a driver involved in several alleged hit and runs Friday night.
Witnesses say the man was driving a blue security van along Southland Drive in the city’s southwest.

He was boxed into a parking lot by other drivers after they say he smashed into at least two vehicles.
“We were chasing him for about 20 minutes,” said a witness. “He parked and started going again, so I punctured his tires.”
Police took the driver into custody Friday night and say they will investigate whether the suspect was impaired.
Police say nobody was injured in the incident.
