The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is investigating the death of a 54-year-old Squamish man.
On Mar. 2, RCMP responded to a disturbance outside the Cliffside Pub and found a man on the ground in distress and suffering from a head injury.
The man was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries on Mar. 3. He has been identified as Clifton Mawer.
IHIT is working with the regional RCMP detachment to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mawer’s death.
Anyone who has information about the incident or was near the Cliffside Pub at 11 p.m. on Mar. 1 and 2 a.m. on Mar. 2, is asked to contact IHIT or CrimeStoppers.
