Nearly 2 years after closing up shop “˜Corner Gas’ is giving fans the opportunity to purchase parts of the show to benefit a good cause. Over a thousand pieces from all six seasons are on sale at the Canada Saskatchewan Production Studios (1831 College Avenue) through Sunday, and a portion of the proceeds will go benefit the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan.

“I have always been blown away by how the show seems to touch people,” said Corner Gas creator, writer, star and executive producer. “It just seems to be a way for them to solidify ownership of the show they watched for six seasons.”

Fifty choice items will be part of a live auction Saturday from 1-2 pm. Fitzy Fitzgerald (Caven Cunningham) the fictitious mayor of Dog River will be presiding as the auctioneer. Sale highlights include:

-Oscar and Emma’s kitchen and living room furniture and collectables

– Leroy’s outdoor furniture

– Karen and Davis’ desktop items, lamps and wall art

– The Ruby’s counters, booths, wall art, menus, dishes, sugar, salt and pepper shakers

– The Corner Gas counters, stools and license plates

– The Police Station desk and files

– Dog River signs

All purchases must be made in person and with cash. Corner Gas wrapped its 107 episode run in April 2009.
