SACKVILLE, N.B. – Mount Allison University says it is going to resume bargaining with academic staff one week into a strike at the New Brunswick school.
The university says the parties will return to negotiations on Wednesday at the request of the provincially appointed mediation officer.

The school says it hopes to resolve the outstanding issues with members of the Mount Allison Faculty Association.
The association, which represents 154 full-time and 56-part-time faculty and librarians, says the main issues in the dispute have centred on salaries, pensions and benefits.
A three-week strike at the University of New Brunswick ended last week after a tentative agreement was reached.
