Brazen bovine still without a home

Update: The cow is now in foster care at a private farm in Coquitlam as it waits for its owners to claim it. RCMP say the next step is to contact Agriculture Canada and track the cow through its tags and/or brands.

The calf is a 500-pound adolescent and according to police, headbutted a few people attempting to be “cow whisperers” but that ultimately no one was injured in the capture of the brazen bovine.

Previous story: A calf on the loose in Port Coquitlam had traffic delayed this afternoon, according to RCMP.

Police were deluged with 911 calls regarding the renegade livestock running down Lougheed Highway near Ottawa Street.

The calf was eventually tranquilized and removed safely.

Police do not know who the owner is or how the small bovine got loose.
