TORONTO — Actor Jake Gyllenhaal will be in Toronto on Sunday with Quebec director Denis Villeneuve to attend the Canada’s Top Ten Film Festival.

The 33-year-old star will walk the red carpet with Villeneuve at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on King Street before sitting down for a conversation with festival artistic director Cameron Bailey at 3:30 p.m.

Gyllenhaal and Villeneuve will talk about Enemy, a Canadian independent film they made in Toronto in 2012.

In it, Gyllenhaal plays a man who searches for his lookalike after seeing him in a movie.

Enemy had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and is scheduled to open in theatres on March 14. It will also have a special screening at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Jan. 9 as part of its Spotlight on Canada Cinema program.

He and Villeneuve also worked together on the thriller Prisoners, which is generating strong Oscar buzz.
