TORONTO – TTC service has returned to normal after a transformer explosion near Bathurst Street and St. Clair West caused a power outage Friday afternoon.

TTC subway service is now running normally between St. Clair West and Union Station.

Streetcar service has resumed along St. Clair West.

Toronto Hydro did not immediately provide any information about the transformer explosion, but the outage comes as crews continue to work to restore power to about 32,000 customers still in the dark due to last week’s ice storm. It is unclear if there is a power outage in the area.
