“As you may have heard, a man residing in the West Island was arrested in front of Hillcrest Academy on Wednesday afternoon,” principal Nathalie Rollin confirmed in a letter sent home to parents on Friday, November 29.

“We implore parents to take a moment to discuss safe practices with their children and to remind them that a stranger is a stranger, regardless of familiarity.”

Laval police constable Franco Di Genova confirmed that the 67-year-old man arrested last Wednesday outside the school has been charged with breach of conditions.

His original release conditions stipulated that he could not be within 500 metres of a school.

On Monday morning, concerned about the safety of their children, about two dozen parents held a protest at Hillcrest Academy.

According to the parents, Krupp was waiting outside the school in his car at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

He was apparently there to collect his wife, who is a grade three teacher at the elementary school.

Parents witnessed as police surrounded the car and made the arrest.
