BC Ferries returns Horseshoe Bay totem pole to carvers family

September 27, 2023
BC Ferries has returned a totem pole to the family of its carver after sitting outside the Horseshoe Bay terminal for almost 60-years . The pole was carved by Tony Hunt Senior -- an artist and hereditary chief from the Kwakiutl First Nation. It was installed in 1966 for the Canadian centennial.
