Copper wire thefts are continuing to rise, as Nova Scotia Power says they’ve experienced about 30 thefts from electrical equipment across the province in 2023. A recent incident in Dartmouth resulted in power outages for about 10,000 residents in the area. As Vanessa Wright reports, those who take the dangerous risk of stealing the metal are hoping to cash in on its value.
