It is estimated someone dies from a drug poisoning every six days in the Peterborough region. Community groups and city officials gathered Thursday outside City Hall for a flag-raising – the first of a number of events planned for the coming week. But as the region continues to grapple with the opioid crisis, many feel not enough is being done to save lives.
