Charlies Martinet, the original voice of the beloved “Super Mario” Nintendo video game character is stepping down from voicing the iconic Italian plumber after 32 years. His first video game appearance was in 1994’s ‘Mario Teaches Typing’. Rather than retiring, the 67-year-old will now serve as Nintendo’s “Mario ambassador.” Global’s Anne Gaviola reports.
