The refusal by some people to heed wildfire evacuation orders in B.C.’s interior is putting police and firefighters at risk, BC Wildfire Service’s director of provincial operations says. At a Friday wildfire briefing, Cliff Chapman said there were several instances on Thursday night where crews had to put themselves in danger by returning to evacuation zones to get people to safety.
