People in 68 homes in West Kelowna have been ordered to leave due to the nearby McDougall Creek wildfire. The fire has prompted a local state of emergency for the city, and a portion of the Westbank First Nation and Okanagan West electoral area, while more than 5,700 properties in multiple communities are under evacuation alert.
