They were an election promise – a more comfortable alternative to Quebec’s long-term care facilities. The CAQ government has now built 17 of their long-awaited Maison des Aînés or homes for seniors. As Global’s Franca Mignacca reports, the facilities are bright and modern, but sitting mostly empty.
