NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh on Tuesday said he wants to see grocery chains taxed on excess profits as part of a plan to tackle soaring food prices. Other pillars of his plan included increasing competition among grocers and stiffer penalties for those found to be price fixing or price gouging.
