Global BC Presents: Harrison Mooney

Harrison Mooney is an award-winning Vancouver journalist. For several years he has been tackling a much more personal story — his own. Harrison, who is Black, was adopted by a white, Christian fundamentalist family from Abbotsford as a baby. In his new book “Invisible Boy: a Memoir of Self-Discovery”, he shares his struggle to fit into his community, his family, and most of all, his skin. Global’s Sophie Lui met Mooney on Granville Island to discuss his book and experiences.
