Modi says ‘absolutely no space for discrimination,’ despite human rights concerns in India

During a rare appearance in front of journalists at the White House on Thursday, alongside U.S. President Joe Biden, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized his country’s democratic values after being “surprised” with a question regarding human rights concerns in India. “There’s absolutely no space for discrimination,” Modi, 72, said in response.
