Despite very chilly relations between China and the U.S. these days, both countries are calling the start of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s Beijing two-day visit “candid and constructive.” As Redmond Shannon reports, the agenda will mostly involve trying to rebuild some much-needed trust between the two superpowers — in the first such visit in five years.
