Hydration stations, indoor ‘cooling sites’ to be accessible for public respite from hot weather

City of Winnipeg’s emergency management officer Mary Ann Oprea said on Monday the city is partnering with community centres and libraries to provide respite from the hot weather expected to hit Winnipeg. Oprea said some signs of extreme distress from the heat include, nausea, vomiting and unconsciousness and advised Winnipeggers to call 911 if they see anyone experiencing these symptoms.
