Following the resignation of special rapporteur David Johnston earlier this week, Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre called upon the Trudeau government, once again, to launch a public inquiry into allegations of foreign interference. “We want to make sure there are no ties to the Trudeau family, no relationship to the Beijing-financed Trudeau Foundation, no other compromising relationship with … any foreign dictatorship,” Poilievre said of Johnston’s yet-to-be-decided replacement.
