Appearing on Sunday’s episode of CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin spoke about the rush to find a deal regarding the U.S. debt ceiling, and said discussions should have started at least three months ago. “The reserve currency of the world has to have stability where people believe that it’s safe. You can’t play these games,” Manchin said.
