Providing an update on the ongoing wildfires in Halifax, N.S., on Friday, David Steeves, a technician for resources with the North Coast Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, said that the fires remain at 50 per cent containment. He added that while the rain from this morning was “very welcomed,” it will “really only hold us for a number of hours.”
