Firefighters battling the wildfires raging across Nova Scotia are tired but are not “burned out,” according to Erica Fleck, director of Emergency Management for Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). Officials also said that while the province is “asking a lot” of firefighters, there are plans to cycle members out to avoid burnout.

Firefighters battling the wildfires raging across Nova Scotia are tired but are not “burned out,” according to Erica Fleck, director of Emergency Management for Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). Officials also said that while the province is “asking a lot” of firefighters, there are plans to cycle members out to avoid burnout.
