Sunday marked the victory of Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the country’s 2023 re-election, extending his authoritarian rule into not only a third term, but a third decade. “We said that we will win in a way that no one will lose. That’s why Turkey is the only winner today,” the 69-year-old politican said in front of a roaring crowd.
