Turkish presidential election could be heading for runoff as votes counted

The polls are closed in Turkey which held its presidential election on Sunday, widely seen as the country’s most important vote in decades. The result appears too close to call and could be heading to a run-off election. Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been in power for 20 years, but faces growing opposition led by challenge Kemal Kilicdaroglu.
