Following King Charles III ascension to the throne, there is an increase in negative sentiment towards the British monarchy and only 41 per cent of Canadians surveyed believe he and Queen Consort Camilla will keep the monarchy relevant to Canada. The poll, conducted exclusively by Ipsos for Global News also found just 53 per cent believe Prince William will be able to do the same when he takes the throne.
