The Theatre on King prides itself as one of the only spaces in the Peterborough region to host and nurture local talent.
Earlier this year, the institution found itself in a tough position when a $15,000 grant they were expecting from the City of Peterborough was not approved.
After a scramble and an appeal did not work, the community stepped up to save the theatre.
Artistic administrator Kate Story says it’s great news, but not a sustainable solution. She joined Noor Ibrahim on Global News Morning Peterborough to explain.
