Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim says unsafe living conditions and the risk of more fires are among the reasons police officers were called in as the city ramped up its eviction of an encampment along the sidewalks of East Hastings Street. City of Vancouver staff, accompanied by police officers moved in Wednesday morning to remove remaining structures and tents.
