Surrey residents and businesses are being hit with a double-digit increase in their property tax bills. Last night, the city council approved the city’s new budget and a 12.5 per cent property tax hike. As Emily Lazatin reports, a big part of the increase is being blamed on continued uncertainty surrounding the future of policing in the city.
