Police to step-up security checks for those entering St. Theresa Point First Nation

St. Theresa Point First Nation Chief Elvin Flett announced on Friday that Manitoba First Nations Police Service will be stepping-up search measures for all visitors who travel to St. Theresa Point First Nation in an effort to curb drug and alcohol smuggling into the community. Flett made the announcement following the death of two 14-year-old girls who died from exposure from being trapped outside overnight. He said substance abuse was a factor in their deaths.
