Mendicino announces consultations on foreign registry list amid election interference allegations

Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino announced in Ottawa on Friday that Canada will be launching consultations to guide the set-up of a new foreign influence transparency registry in light of recent allegations of foreign election interference by China. Mendocino outlined that the consultation is meant to foster transparency, modernize authorities and engage the public.
