John Tory delivered his final remarks as Toronto mayor on Friday after submitting his official resignation a day earlier. Tory said leaving his post as mayor “was the right thing to do,” although it was difficult. Tory spoke about his hopes for the city and listed some of the achievements he hopes to be remembered for including getting “back to building transit,” as well as building housing and making “critical investments in front-line services.”
