Trudeau says some elements of Emergencies Act ‘need to change’

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded to the Public Order Emergency Commission’s report on his government’s use of the Emergencies Act on Friday by saying that there are things in the act “that need to change.” One example he gave was consultation with Indigenous people, which he said should be formalized in the act.
