Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded on Friday to the report from the Public Order Emergency Commission on his government’s use of the Emergencies Act to end the convoy protests in Ottawa and blockades in Alberta and Ontario back in February 2022. He said the federal government “didn’t want” to invoke the act, adding that it will respond in the next year to the recommendations in the report.
