Jeremy Harrison, Saskatchewan’s minister of trade and export development, spoke on Friday at Saskatoon International Airport following Saskatchewan’s announcement to support WestJet’s direct flights to Minneapolis, Minn. with a $2.2 million subsidy. Harrison said servicing a U.S. hub city with direct flights is an important leap for business and quality of life in Saskatchewan.
