Maxine Tebbe, general manager of Optimist Hill in Saskatoon, Sask., suggested residents make the most of the mild weather on Wednesday. Environment Canada is expecting a cold snap dubbed the “Siberian Express” to begin on Friday with temperatures reaching the mid-minus 20s. Tebbe said Optimist Hill closes when an extreme cold warning is issued for the safety of visitors and staff.
