Artifacts from StarPhoenix newspaper an important part of Saskatoon’s history: archivist

City of Saskatoon archivist, Jeff O’Brien, spoke on Thursday about the importance of preserving the records from Saskatoon’s beloved StarPhoenix newspaper. Postmedia publications announced on Wednesday that the StarPhoenix building will hit the market. O’Brien said that the news office was once a community focal point, serving as a connection to the world and the 400,000 photos submitted by the paper are a priceless piece of provincial history.
