Ryan Sneath, deputy chief of Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, spoke on Wednesday about the importance of supplying emergency personnel and first responders with Naloxone kits to counteract the effects of an opioid overdose. Sneath said that recently a man believed to be experiencing the effects of a drug called ‘down’, responders administered 4 doses of Narcan which afforded paramedic crews time to respond.
