A public water blessing ceremony was held Thursday afternoon in a show of solidarity with Ukrainians suffering from the ongoing war. Ukrainian Catholic Bishop Bryan Bayda conducted the ceremony at the Clock Tower in Montreal’s Old Port. The Great Water Blessing commemorates the Eastern Christian feast of the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River, celebrated every year on Jan. 6. Global’s Gloria Henriquez reports.
